Portland Chapter Leadership Team Meets the First Monday of Every Month at 6:00PM at Oregon Action.  6601 NE MLK

Thanks for your participation in the most recent Portland Chapter  Leadership meeting.   Our meeting resulted in a number of initiatives and proposals for engaging folks in the Portland Area.

In addition to the statewide health care, jobs and immigration work, Portland leaders are committed to working on the specific issues and task groups below:

Racial Profiling/Police Accountability Task Group

Revisit City Council approved “Plan to Address Racial Profiling” with Mayor Adams and Chief Reece.

Organizing the unemployed initiative

Portland area leaders and staff will conduct  surveys of 10% of the 37,000 unemployed in Multnomah County

Foreclosure Task Group

Conduct research and build an analysis on the impact of foreclosures on our community.
