Oregon Action Statement on AG Settlement
Statement of Oregon Action on AG-Bank Mortgage Settlement Agreement
The mortgage fraud settlement being announced today is a tiny drop in a big bucket. It does not do justice for the millions of homeowners who lost their homes or hold the banks fully accountable for their crimes. For homeowners who were defrauded and lost their homes, $2,000 is too little, too late. It is a paltry down payment toward full relief for homeowners.

Welcome to Oregon Action!
Oregon Action is a broad-based, multi-racial community organization dedicated to economic justice. We assist people to organize on their own behalf – with a focus on low-income people, people of color and others with limited access to traditional structures of power and policy-making. Through leadership development and community organizing, we provide the organizational base for participatory democracy, just communities and a fair economy.
